My last post earlier today got me thinking about the “Anna is a victim” message and I connected it to the image below; one of the last images I took on my trip to Israel this week. It was one of many business card-sized images I found strewn on the ground near my hotel in Tel Aviv. I was thinking about this photograph as a subversion of the tradition of the reclining nude in art history – where a naked or scantily clad reclining woman was juxtaposed with nature.
