Documenting Graffiti, Signs & References to Boris Johnson in London’s Streets

This is a collection of photographs taken between May 2019 and July 2022 that reference Boris Johnson either directly or by implication. Encompassing handwritten graffiti, stickers, signage and satirical billboards, I see the photos as visual commentary on Londoners’ opinions; revealing anger and a depth of disdain as well as providing a critique of the hypocrisy and absurdity of Boris’s leadership. The most recent images were taken during the week of the announcement of his resignation.
